  2024 June @Seethawaka The first observation is at Seethawaka.  Aquamarine upperparts, crimson bill, and black patch on the forehead make this active little species unmistakable. Forages by creeping along trunks and branches, often upside down. Usually moves in groups, frequently as a member of mixed-species flocks. 2024 April @ Udawattakele Forest Reserve The first observation is at  Udawattakele Forest Reserve . The largest kingfisher that can be seen in Sri Lanka. The head  is olive-brown with dark green-blue upperparts and buff underparts.   2024 June @Seethawaka The first observation is at Seethawaka Botanical Garden.  Small grey songbird with a heavy bill, dark mask, and white eyebrows. Underparts pale whitish; in flight note white rump. 2024 March @Diyasaru Park, Battaramulla The first observation is at Thalangama Lake.  It is endemic to Sri Lanka.  Small, green barbet with a red forehead, light orange markings around the eye, blue sides to the face, and unstreaked belly. Usually located by incessant calls, given from the treetops. Occurs in open wooded areas, gardens, forests and forest edges in the lowlands and foothills, where typically encountered as singles or pairs. Most abundant in the wet zone, but occurs locally in the dry zone. Endemic Conservation status - Least Concern reference - ebird       reference - Wikipedia
