2024 July @Seethawaka

The first observation is at Seethawaka Botanical Garden. This endemic beauty is quite common in the rainforests. Sri Lanka has two species of Hornbills, the Grey Hornbill, which is endemic to the island, and the Malabar Pied Hornbill (Anthracoceros coronatus), also found in other parts of South Asia.

Endemic
Conservation status - least concern
